May has arrived and thankfully so has the good weather! During these strange times, it is hard to know what is around the corner but we wanted to share some of our news with you to keep you updated on what we do know...
We have lots to get through, so let's begin!

Remember, delivery is free on orders over £40 and we are still offering the 'click and collect' service, of course adhering to the government guidelines - safety is our number one priority.
We want to reiterate how thankful we are to all our customers for your continued support throughout these challenging times, and we are looking forward to returning back to some form of normality in the near future...
Spring Paddock Management
Spring is finally in fully swing and we are sure your four-legged friends are enjoying some deserved TLC and relaxation in the paddocks, but do your paddocks need some TLC too?
Whether you are tackling a weed invasion, sprinkling some grass seed or fertilising, we have what you need to get your paddocks looking in tip top condition this spring! Paddock management can also be maintained through fencing and cordoning off areas that require rest and restoration - take a look at our fencing options today.
Spring grass is here and along with it comes the increased risk of laminitis. Laminitis is the inflammation of the laminae that supports the coffin bone. Without this stability, the coffin bone encounters rotation and a sinking movement, causing extreme pain and discomfort. Spotting the signs early could prevent serious injury, even fatality. There are multiple ways in which you can prevent and manage the symptoms of laminitis. Ensure your horse is fed on a balanced diet - if required, supplements can help with hoof health and improved diet. Restricted grazing is also important in cases of laminitis - this can be achieved through grazing muzzles or using smaller paddocks with less luscious grass. Horses and ponies that are prone to weight issues should be monitored closely. It is important to point out that even if your horse has never had laminitis before, it does not mean they cannot acquire it - be vigilant! Electric fencing is a great option if you're looking for a temporary fixture to manage grazing abilities - take a look at our stock today.

Rosco On Rehabilitation
Ian Pycock and Rosco are back with another blog instalment! Isolation looks well on Rosco, and he is certainly enjoying his rest and relaxation in the sun with owner Ian. Rosco's rehabilitation seems to be going well and thankfully the damage to his bone has stabilised, which is great news. Grab a cup of tea and put your feet up for a well deserved rest (just like Rosco is doing).
Is that a zebra or a horse in your paddock? Have you heard the news? A Zebra's stripes have been scientifically proven to deter pesky flies and insects. According to research, flies do not like the contrasting black and white stripes and find it difficult to land successfully. During the experiment, scientists found that flies could not land on the striped mammal and simply flew over the top of them... This is great news for the equestrian world... They applied the same principle to horses wearing zebra patterned rugs, and would you believe it, the flies flew straight over the horses.
Grab yourself a zebra pattered fly rug today and stop those pesky flies bothering your four-legged friend this spring.
