Stubben Equi-Soft Girth

Written by

More than just another girth – it's a unique experience

OVERVIEW:

  • Due to the girths exclusive system of elastic rings and its special shape, there is reduced pressure on the chest allowing freer breathing
  • Proven to significantly lower heart rate of the horse
  • Girth pressure is distributed over a larger area reducing pressure build up

The Stubben Equi-Soft Girth is designed to be more sympathetic to horses and allow better movement when ridden. We have had great feedback from customers who have seen a dramatic difference in their horses since use, particularly in horses who were previously difficult to girth up. We've also had reports of better movement under the saddle with improvements seen across the gaits.

The sophisticated and exclusive system is made of elastic strips which improves the girth pressure distribution. As a direct consequence, the horse’s complaints when being girthed are reduced significantly (e.g. kicking, biting, refusal of the girth).

The design allows the horse to expand its chest when needed during exercise. The elastic rings expand and contract with the rib cage, maintaining a uniform tension. A comparative study of various girths certifies:

'All horses, without exception, maintained lower heart rates when using the Equi-Soft-girth.'

Guidelines for use

To correctly use the girth, the centre of the girth must be positioned symmetrically on the horse’s centre. Never adjust only one side. The tension needs be equal on both sides.
